Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Genmotion.design (“we”, “us”) collects when you use Genmotion.design, and how it's used. Genmotion.design turns a website URL or a short product description into a motion design video using AI.

Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address and a phone number, used to verify that you're a real person.

Content you provide. The URL you paste, any text you write in the brief, and your brand preferences (tone, audience, colors, music). If you submit a URL, we fetch the public page content, screenshots, colors, and fonts from that page to build your video.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe handles that directly and shares with us only what's needed to unlock your video (payment status, amount).

Usage data. Basic product analytics (pages visited, features used) and error reports, to fix bugs and understand what's useful.

Your brief and the content read from your site are sent to the service providers that build your video: Firecrawl and Jina, which read the pages of your site; Google (Gemini), which picks the pages worth reading; Anthropic (Claude), which writes the script and the scenes; Cartesia, which records the voiceover; and OpenAI, which records the voiceover and times the captions for some formats. Some of these calls go through Vercel's AI Gateway. These providers process your content solely to generate your video. We don't use it to train our own models.

Your finished video (and its watermarked preview) is stored on our cloud storage (Supabase) so it can be played back, downloaded once unlocked, or re-rendered. The site is hosted by Vercel, your account data is kept in our Supabase database, and video jobs wait in a queue hosted by Upstash.

We don't sell your data. We don't use your brief, brand content, or generated videos to train AI models. We don't share your content with anyone beyond the service providers listed above, which exist solely to run the product.

We use a session cookie (via Clerk) to keep you signed in. If you accept analytics cookies, we also use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to understand how the site is used. Nothing is measured before you accept, and you can refuse. No third-party advertising cookies.

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated content at any time by emailing ellioth@genmotion.design. If you're in the EU/UK, this includes the rights to access, correct, delete, and export your data under GDPR.

Genmotion.design isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
